Bedford County Health Department

• Job duties include providing nutrition assessment and counseling for the Women, Infants and Children program (WIC), breastfeeding promotion and support, medical nutrition therapy, and group instruction/presentation.






Bedford County Highway Department

The Solid Waste Division of the Bedford County Highway Department has immediate openings available for garbage truck drivers with a Class B Driver’s License. The normal work week for the available position consists of 40 hours (Monday through Thursday).





Bedford County Circuit Court Clerk

Duties and responsibilities include recording check and cash receipts, reconciling checks to daily revenue reports, and preparation of daily bank deposits.





Bedford County Health Department

Full-time position performing nursing and related duties. Valid RN License with 1 year experience.





Bedford County Juvenile Detention Center

Full-time position in an office environment with other co-workers working closely. Male and Female officers needed. Officer will be guarding juveniles in addition to performing other duties as needed.





Bedford County EMS

The paramedic is expected to provide courteous medical care for all type of patients with unlimited diseases, injuries, and personalities. The difficult physical demands include: heavy lifting, crawling, kneeling, and walking long distances. Paramedics operate in a range of environments from the back of an ambulance to rough terrain and in all types of weather. All patient care must adhere to the standards set forth by the State of Tennessee and Bedford County EMS. The paramedic may be assigned other specific administrative duties or tasks as needed.




The AEMT is expected to provide courteous medical care for all type of patients with unlimited diseases, injuries, and personalities. The AEMT will operate in a range of environments from the back of an ambulance to rough terrain and in all types of weather. Bedford County Sheriff's Office

The Bedford County Jail and the Bedford County Workhouse are currently accepting applications for Correctional Officers. The duties include supervision of inmates within policy and procedures while protecting the rights of inmates. Must have a GED or high school diploma and be at least 21 years of age. Must be able to pass a job-related background check and pre-employment drug screen. Applications must be received no later than October 12, 2018 to be considered for employment.




The employee will be a deputy with the Sheriff’s Dept. the duty could be as a patrol deputy on any shift or as a security specialist division deputy at the Bedford County Courthouse on the day shift.




The Officer is responsible for overseeing state and county inmates. This involves working with inmates in the jail and various assigned duties.





Bedford County 911 currently has a position available for an Emergency Dispatcher. This is a 24/7 environment. Must be customer service oriented and computer skills across multiple systems is preferred.

Bedford County Animal Control

Animal Control Officers are responsible for performing a variety of job functions related to animal care and control, including but not limited to field services, shelter operations, and office/ clerical work. Animal Control Officers are responsible for providing general animal care for shelter animals, responding to calls for service in the field, and enforcing State laws and County regulations pertaining to companion animals. Animal Control Officers must handle all animals in a humane manner at all times.
