Bedford County Animal Control

The Bedford County Animal Control Department has an opening for a part- time Animal Care Technician. The Animal Care Technician position is a key component to the physical health and well-being of the animals at BCAC. This position provides daily care for the shelter animals, including cleaning and sanitizing kennels and cages, and feeding the animals. This position also provides approved medical treatments and medications to shelter animals, as prescribed by a veterinarian. ACTs are also responsible for any other duties assigned by the Director/Deputy Director.






Bedford County Department of Planning, Zoning & Building Codes

Bedford County, Tennessee is seeking a conscientious professional to join our Building Codes Department as a Building Codes Enforcement Officer. The position is responsible for enforcing commercial and residential building codes, energy, plumbing, mechanical, and fuel-gas codes as well as minor county zoning ordinances. The officer could also be inspecting existing buildings to determine compliance, and maintenance of standards relating to health, sanitation, and life-safety issues.






Bedford County EMS

The paramedic is expected to provide courteous medical care for all type of patients with unlimited diseases, injuries, and personalities. The difficult physical demands include: heavy lifting, crawling, kneeling, and walking long distances. Paramedics operate in a range of environments from the back of an ambulance to rough terrain and in all types of weather. All patient care must adhere to the standards set forth by the State of Tennessee and Bedford County EMS. The paramedic may be assigned other specific administrative duties or tasks as needed.




The AEMT is expected to provide courteous medical care for all type of patients with unlimited diseases, injuries, and personalities. Bedford County Mayor Office

Responsible for cleaning of facilities; disposal of trash; operating scrubber, buffers, vacuums, and similar equipment. Will assist custodial work at Bedford County Court House, Bedford County Court House Annex and County Offices at US Bank Building.






Bedford County Jail

The Bedford County Jail is currently accepting applications for Correctional Officers. The corrections officer is responsible for maintaining the security of the jail by supervising the inmates and following the established policies and procedures, all while protecting the rights of the inmates.
